*+*+*****+**+*+*+*+*+*+The Legend of Chronamut+*+*+*+*+*+*+**+*****+*+*
In the world of gods and men
there lived a being - Chronamut
A god of beasts of flame and then,
a god of which time was wrought
~*~
A god of two such powerful things
A god who stood mighty and tall,
but as mighty as these two such concepts could bring
they might never have existed at all
~*~
For time is a concept and dragons aren't proven
their existance is nothing but fantasy
from times which dwelled demons whose hooves were but cloven
and beings of fantastical fancy
But time is obsessed over - eternal youth sought after,
the theories and theories it rings
of time travel to the past, present and future,
of knowledge and the power it brings
For omnipitance is grand but is useless it seems
unless omniscience is granted to one first.
The knowledge of all things and the future it brings
and the hunger an unquenchable thirst
~*~
And dragons it seems are idealized dreams
a concept of power and fear.
No other fell creature does mankind know every feature
than the one that might never have even existed here!
but dragons are powerful creatures and so
to mankind they personified strength.
These beings were told to be dangerous and so
to destroy them men went to unstoppable lengths
~*~
So when darkness would find and descend on mankind,
it's presence would then trigger a portal.
A being of time emerged and fused - intertwined
with the kings of both dragons and mortals
this being was chronamut - divine in perfection
his visage a sight to behold
his power unrivalled throughout natural selection
his possession of knowledge - of eons untold
This being could act - but why would he do that?
His knowledge so utterly complete
that he could predict to a tee as a matter of fact
before acting - victory or defeat
~*~
And so with a wave and a flicker of thought
he wiped out the darkness from man.
And then from the core of that darkness he wrought
a fell dragon to make sure 'twouldn't happen again
And so we live in peace - but the darkness will fall
and inflict on us darkness and pain
and on that fateful day gabriel's horn will then call
and the beast will return and destruction will reign
~*~
and thus vanished a creature of glory in his prime
and alas that is all I recall
but like beings of magic and concepts of time
he may never have existed at all.
