In the physical realm, you have "stuff" that's made up of quarks, atoms, protons, electrons, matter, particles, mass, etc... The science that humans on earth are limited to (i.e., modern science) can prove just about everything that takes physical form in the physical realm but it can never prove the sentience that exists in the non-physical realm. If something is not physical, then modern science can not prove it. Thus, science can not prove that there is a non-physical realm even though a non-physical realm exists!
So what is the non-physical realm? The non-physical realm is a realm in which only mass-less sentient thoughts, ideas and emotions exist. They do not take up any space and have no physical properties; and that is why they can only exist in the non-physical realm.
What are thoughts? Thoughts are a series of emotions strung together forming into an idea. So what's an emotion? An emotion is a single essence that's connected with the behavior of a life form. What's an idea? An idea is the product of the activity which is conceptualized from a thought.
Are ideas physical? Ideas remain non-physical until they are converted into something that is presentable in the physical world.
How does an idea become physical? An idea becomes physical once it is conveyed into the physical realm by way of expression whether it is spoken, written, performed, painted, etc. into a tangible physical object of the physical realm.
Where do thoughts come from? Thoughts are spawned from a sentient source called the soul.
What's the brain for then? Aside from processing neurons in its "neural network" which ultimately controls the nervous system throughout the body, the brain is essentially a storage device for memories that were stimulated by thoughts. It also is capable of formulating thoughts into ideas as well as assisting with the conversion of ideas into products of the physical realm as mentioned above.
What is a soul and where does it come from? A soul is a divine essence that attaches to any creature that is given life. Souls initially sprung out from stars such as our sun. Our sun provides the means for life to thrive. A soul lingers in the non-physical realm where it idles until there is an opportunity to attach itself to a life form whether the life form is a tree, a frog, a bird, a human being, etc...
Are all souls the same? They are similar but they are not exactly the same. Each soul has its own attributes such as attention span, desire, motivation, inspiration, etc.
How does a soul know to attach itself to a life form? A soul binds itself to a life form when it is answering to the call of the parenting soul that's actively providing a life line to it.
What happens to the soul when the life form dies? When the life form dies, the soul detaches itself from it also leaving behind all of its memories however keeping its newly developed attributes.
Where does the soul go after it detaches itself? It remains afloat in the non-physical realm until it answers to another calling.
What's the size of a soul? The soul has no size. It is neither small nor big. It takes up no space and has no form. Therefore, it has no weight and remains transient for as long as it will.
So where is the non-physical realm and how come we can't see it? The non-physical realm is essentially overlapping the physical world. Thus, the two realms are a reciprocal to one another. One can not exist without the other.
So what is the purpose of all of this? Universal evolution, which I will save for the next writing. Just to give you a sneak preview though, in evolution, every new generation is more efficient than the last. :)
Until next time, love one another!

This is really an awesome concept! I bet it's not too far from the truth if not the truth! :) Good write up!

Well yea, this makes perfect sense! :) Very well explained!
Does that mean religion originates from the non-physical realm since modern science can not prove all of their teachings? What about God? Is God from the non-physical realm or physical realm?
I somewhat agree with the two above comments, but even still, I found this to be quite thought-provoking. There is truth in the fact that the soul exists, and shall always exist after the body is long gone.
