If you haven't heard the news from the world's top scientists yet, below are links to what will happen as evidently the Gulf Stream has come to a halt due to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.  This is affecting the entire world ecologically!

Here are 1 hour worth of recent (July 16, 2010) audio reports (i.e., podcasts) featuring Dr.  Gianluigi Zangari, PhD along with John Moore and Anne Morrison.  They speak about the Breaking of the Loop Currents by the BP Oil Cataclysm.  Listen from the midpoint of Part 2 to the end of Part 3.

Hello folks! Believe it or

Hello folks! Believe it or not, this is for reals! It might seem like something that only happens in movies, but unfortunately, it is quite real! I am not sure what we, as humankind, can do to get through this together, but I will pray that some cosmic level being is watching from above and is kind enough to help us all.

Perhaps, they (i.e. Intelligent Extraterrestrials) are already here helping us which totally explains why we have been seeing a lot of UFO probes, UFO ships, USO (unidentified submerged object) crafts, etc. sighted world wide lately. Evidently, these beings have been etched into our history and now they are here again to make sure that our survival is not interrupted. Think about this folks! Everything should start to make sense right now; but if it's still a big blurry cloud for you, wake up and get with the times! WE ARE NOT ALONE. Just like our parents would help us when we are in trouble, THEY are going to help us since we are in trouble. If you think about it, they ARE like our cosmic parents. Earth is like our "crib" that they have placed us on. I have not personally seen any aliens from outside earth, but if I ever do, I will show my deepest love for them as I do my own parents and thank them for traveling hundreds of light years to save us! Everyone of us should welcome them alike!

ugh. stop praying and relying

ugh.

stop praying and relying on some higher being to save you - if you're screwed - deal with it and make the necessary preparations - as for me - if I die - then I die - but atm - its effin' hot here. Lol.

I agree. If there's a higher

I agree. If there's a higher beeing somewhere it won't come now to rescue us after we fucked the whole planet up. We all make our own luck, and it lies in our hand to save us - or not.

The problem of the human race is it's greed, and as long as this greed exists there will be always some who exploit our planet for their own gain. We are like stupid kids who set their own house on fire and instead of extinguishing the flames we just try to make future fires not as big as the past ones. And we fuck that up too.

I once read that indians live so that their actions won't cause harm even in the seventh generation. If we now take the average life span of a human in the wild we get around 350-400 years! Hell, today we aren't even able to say what our actions will cause in just 20 years...

So the human dilemma stemms from a compination of selfishness, shortsight and stupidity. And because it's that what defines us, what defines our history, it will never change. Until we are killed by our own actions.

What are the necessary

What are the necessary preprarations Chronamut? If you know, it would surely benefit everyone else on earth to know as well. Of course, if we die, then we just die. Nothing we can do to avoid death. But as far as I can notice, we're not talking about just death here; we're talking about the wiping out of Human Civilization!

I'd like for everyone to show

I'd like for everyone to show some compassion and collaborate on ideas about what we can do to correct our mistakes instead of condemning us to them. We already know that we screwed up, but how in the world are we supposed to fix our mistakes? Fwunk has some of the most creative minds on earth--the last thing I want to hear from any of us is that we don't have the creativity to come up with a solution that may just as well work. Maybe there is a reason why this site was born. Maybe there is a bigger purpose than just enjoying art and entertainment. Maybe Fwunk was really meant to mean: Free World United with New Knowledge. That is, New Knowledge concieved by our own creative minds! Each of us should obligate ourselves to share our thoughts, ideas and emotions in order to sustain a healthier world. We need to supress the amount of politicians and convert them into divinely compassionate beings like we are as artists and creative individuals. The Indians were quite creative and were emmensely in-tune with the earth. Like them, we should take only actions that won't cause harm to the next 7+ generations. Despite the fact that it may be too late to do much about it, let's demonstrate as much as we humanly can how we might affect the course of human civilization if we were allowed more time. Let us go down in history for the actions we took that healed the planet (ulimately saving all of mankind) or at least be known in our buried archaic records that we have attempted the feat for another future civilization to learn from. Even if there aren't any superior civilizations outside of earth to help us, we should still be obligated to do what we can to insure that our loved ones and those dear to us, especially the youths, continue many more generations of life instead of letting it end here due to our own ignorance. We, as a collective group of artists, might be insignificant in quantity at this point in time when placed side by side with the rest of the world, but let's at least put our heads together and reach beyond our minds' eyes to come up with ideas for a solution towards a "normal" as opposed to "better" tomorrow. With that in mind, I want to say that I love you all very much regardless of the rumors that the world might be destined for massive devastation. It could be my last chance to say it if I wait any longer. After all, Love is everything and, thus, makes everything possible. For those of us who don't like to be all "fruity" and "mushy" about the subject, give it some consideration. It's the only way that we, as human beings, can find inspiration to survive or continue on with a content life. As I always say, until next time, love one another!

Sounds like you don't really

Sounds like you don't really care. If that is really the case, your discussion in this topic is useless. Now, if you have any desires to contribute plausible ideas to this forum, then I am all ears.

dealwith me everyone's

dealwith me everyone's opinion is valid - regardless of whether it is positive or negative - it all contributes by opening your eyes to reality - so please refrain from that kind of retaliatory commenting...

also from what I can see if dubai can build friggen islands then they can sure as hell restore a gulf stream - also destroy the volcanic landmass that joined north and south america 2 million years ago - before it existed the warm currents went through this regino and kept the entire planet warm - not just certain areas like it does now, or did.

I suppose the first order of business would be to fix their own incompetance and cap that oil spill. Believe you me - if the ones pulling the strings behind the politics realize they have done somethnig that will harm not only the world, but most importantly THEM - theywill do something to fix it - never underestimate the power of selfishness of those in power - and I know it's a negative way of looking at it- but face facts - it's how the world works - no amount of mushy idealism will actually change the way the world works.

also regardless of what we do we are actually due for another ice age neways - we as human beings can only stem nature to an extent.

According to some of those

According to some of those links presented in this topic, it looks like we might only have a few more years to live. :(

Man, Xay, don't let this

Man, Xay, don't let this freak you out too much. In human history "the end" has been foretold docens of times, and all of these events have in common that we are still there. Also, you can't know for sure what will happen. Our environment is much to complex to know exactly how it will react to our influence. The collapse of the gulf stream can trigger other events we don't know as of now.

And even if all is circling the drain, what would we be able to change? I'm speaking as a realist here, and the way I see it it won't change until those who caused all this environmental destruction will choke on their own greed. But the problem is that we will very likely choke with them.
The world is already beyond repair, if repair means "putting it back in its former state". All we could try is to halt environmental decay, preserve the status quo. But as I said before, as long there's money to be made by destroying our planet, it will be done.

And face it, another problem here is that the human race is a stupid, ignorant child only interested in it's own gain. The only thing that seperates them from us in my oppinion is: ART. Art is what let's us stand above all this misery and despair and be something more, something better. And I'm not talking about modern-stupid-art, I'm talking about art that has lived for centuries, like shakespeare or ovid or mozart and so on.
But again, let's face it: If you would ask how many people on this planet in the western world know these artists numbers would be rather small. But even smaller would be the amount of people who would say they love these guys and their work...

Well anyway, read my motto Xay and grasp its meaning. We neither live tomorrow nor yesterday. We live now. And we have to seize the moment and make it worth it. This is what it means to let go of the illusion of control, if you excuse me putting this in a zen kind of way.
Or to quote myself: "life is to precious to spend it crying." ;)

Have a nice day!
