Seems your "cosmic" series will be really huge since Apophysis generates such art without much pain. Anyways it was nice to see again somebody using a fractals :)

thanks guys.. the issue with the bg isn't the quality - it's finding an image that's 1680 pixels wide be 780 pixels high - which are the dimensions of my monitor - and the actual dimensions of this drawing :)
